As unlikely it is that the owner of any given Prius that one spots on the road actually participates in any of the forums, maybe it's worth the long shot to reach out to the silver one I passed this afternoon, that had just gotten rear-ended by a dark green Jeep on I-91 north just before the I-84 east ramp. The left side of the rear bumper plastic was all busted in, but it didn't look like that much damage. It was very tempting to pull off ahead of the scene and offer some sort of character-witness input if they wanted, because that same jeep had been behind me a couple of miles before and did *not* take the strong hint that I really wanted him off my butt pronto after he came wailin' up on me minding my own business in the right lane. I can only hope that fitting justice is served and the Jeep driver goes down hard, and regret that it's possibly at the cost of broken Prius parts. . _H*
Your 'yuppie button' is a great idea, something I've wished for, for years. I hope justice was done to the Jeep on I-91. In my previous vehicle, a '95 Wrangler, I was often hounded by tailgaters who seemed to think that Jeep drivers should be as careless & reckless as they are. The one accident I had was a rear ender, in which the vehicle behind me "didn't think" that I'd actually stop at the Stop-sign. The vehicle behind me was another Jeep Wrangler. :tsk:
When we run up to Newport we group up trucker convoy style, leapfrogging to share the fuel robbing 'point' position. Group up! (I-95) Neddleton
