    what is the maximum amps you can draw before the ice kicksin when speeding up
    is that the same with the standard prius
    and please of so.. remember me what the standard max current draw is before the ice kicksin when in EV mode.

    From what I understand it's not available on the Scangauge. The CAN View does have it. I could be wrong.

    With your recent fill up, do you think the CAN-view is more accurate or did the scan gauge come out on top?

    Just to let everyone know I'm still working of the final writeup. There is a lot to type out, organize, spllcheck, organize again, read everything, correct mistakes, read again, add some more stuff, and correct more mistakes. I haven't had much time to work on it but with any luck I hope to have it done by the end of October.



    According to my CAN-View the max invert temperature was around 175.

    If your in EV mode below 34mph then you can draw about 120 amps.
    Normal mode up to 41mph is about 40-50 amps.
    And when in warp stealth up to about 50 amps.

    I really wont know for sure which is more accurate untill I get a few more tank fills. This could take a while to find out.

    With the mileage you're getting this could take years :rockon:

    The time you're spending on documenting all this for future Hymotion customers and curious lurkers (like myself) is much appreciated.

    3.3 cpm is awesome. with gas going down that will improve. i am also impressed by your electricity costs. does that include taxes?? i am paying just over 9 cents/kwh

    and this 120amps is special higher with your plugin pack or can you also get this with a normal prius and EV mode
    and can you sustain it longer with the plugin pack.

    Its the same for a normal Prius in EV mode. You can sustain 120 amps until you reach 34mph then your kicked out of EV mode.

    Just killed my 12v battery by leaving the Hymotion plugged in without driving the car for two days. Make sure to use a timer or unplug in the morning.

    How would leaving the Hymotion battery plugged in kill the 12v?

    I'm really unsure. My only other thought would be that one of my kids left the door open, but I did not see the accessory light on and I was in the garage. My only thought could be that it drained from the Hymotion. I will follow up if I have any other problems.

    I just don't see how the Hymotion would drain the 12v. When you unplug from the 110v the battery pretty much shuts off as far as I can tell. I say you had a door open or a light left on. I drained my 12v by not having the car in ready mode and I was playing with my computer too long. I had to get a replacement battery because the voltage was dropping below 11v and I could not start the car.

    Only time will tell. This is the first time I've ever drained my battery. My thought was that when plugged in maybe the scangauge is active or the fan. I really don't know. I will watch it more closely in the future.

    I'm surprised that with all that detailed information
    that you didn't come up with what the electrictey cost
    to fully charge the Hymotion Battery. My calculations
    show it would be about 65 cents at 12.5 cents/kwh.

    PS. I 'still' don't know what SOC stands for although
    I assume it is the Fuel Consumption Screen (Source
    of Current?).

    SOC = State of Charge....generally stated as a percentage of maximum capacity the battery is capable of holding. Thus a 10kW battery with 5kW for the current amount held would be 50% SOC.
