two car icons suddenly appear in one of the yellow bars on the consumption monitor touch screen...What does it mean? Also, I can't find anything in the manual about the consumption touch screen.
It means that the car has recovered 50 Watt-hours of kinetic energy through regenerative braking and stored it in the traction battery. What else do you want to know about the consumption screen?
I have probably a stupid question -- people keep posting trip MPG and total MPG over the life of the car. The consumption screen only shows one MPG number. Where do you get the trip MPG? Just calculate yourself (then it's not very accurate, is it)?
I think you can only hit the reset button at the beginning of the said trip, which ofcourse wipes your tank average. I did that a lot at first.
Did you not see the legend below the word "Consumption"? It shows the green leaf car icon equals 50Wh Regenerated. So every time you see one you regenerated 50Wh, half an icon is 25Wh.
