I just put in an order for a 2009 Silver Pine Mica Package #2 at Harrelson Toyota. I was told the wait will be about two months at the most, but maybe as soon as the end of this week. So here's to waiting. :tea:
I just got it today, and it is gorgeous!!!! I got a good deal, good treatment by the salespeople, and a great car!!
I have an 08 package 2, same color. The best car I've owned--years ahead of its time. An amazing accomplishment by Toyota.
I am so glad you got your car. Who was your salesman? I also have to ask..when you went in for the "final" step..ie add on warranty time what did they say your battery would cost to replace? You may or may not have seen that I got a TCH instead of the Prius due to my current car dying. When it came time for the warranty guys sales pitch I told him I would think about it because I had until the end of the factory to decide. He then told me it would go up every month for three months and peak there...BS I was also told that I should get the battery warranty because.....IT WOULD COST $15,000 TO REPLACE!! I just kept my mouth shut and said no thank you knowing that when I got my post buying survey I would burn him a new one! Sorry for the rant there but thank goodness I found PriusChat and knew he was so full of bull. If your driving Around the "Rock" and see a Desert Sand Mica TCH honk and I will wave for sure! Take Care, Garry
I actually ended up changing dealers Garry. I left Harrelson because they gave me the runaround after the salesman who made the deal with me left. I went to Scott Clark on 9/26 and got a Prius on 10/7. Clark Bush was my salesman and Don Thompson was my Finance guy. They treated me with respect and never made me feel like I was being talked down to. My only problem was with the girl who was showing us about the functions of the car. Her desire to be somewhere else was more obvious than a strung out stripper trying to roll you for your wallet. Anyway, Don only mentioned three items: the service plan--wife wanted it so we bought it, road hazard plan--only $405 and I have been known more than once to hit potholes and damage the rim and/or tire, so we bought it. Plus we are going to New England in a few weeks and may need it, the extended warranty--turned it down flat and heard NOTHING ELSE about it. That was it. There was no mention of battery replacement cost. I had heard you got a TCH, where did you get it?
I got it at Harrelson. My original salesperson left also. It was Diane McGriff. She was replaced by Dan Polawski. He was great! He gave me $1000 off on the TCH and gave me the original deals they offered in May on the Prius..ie Lifetime Tire, Power train minus the Hybrid unit and the first six oil changes free. Unfortunately he left the week after I purchased my car. Enjoy your trip and again look out for me in my TCH as I will you in that shiny new Prius. Take Care, Garry
