    It’s officially coming. We can’t wait to share more details with you, but as you can imagine, we don’t want to spoil the big surprise. So, here’s a little peek to get you started. Yes, it’s the real thing, straight from Toyota’s Prius Team, we promise. No, we can’t answer any of the questions you’re going to have, but we bet you can figure out the pieces to the puzzle if you tune in to your favorite Prius sites regularly. As a thank you for your enthusiasm, we just wanted to make sure that you were the first to see this official shot.

    I think it's safe to assume this is the start-up screen for the Prius. The image was posted by Toyota's Prius marketing team.

    What a tease. What's next? A picture of the tire tread :) It would be extremely more exciting if it was the electrical connector for PLUGGING IN.

    That image is enough reason to upgrade to the new Prius (*when it becomes a plug-in with Lithium Ion batteries.) ;)

    I look forward to that thing greeting me every time I power-up the car.

    If that shot is from the MFD, it is the confirmation that next gen Prius' MFD will not have the monochrome screen that we saw in the spyshot.

    I am surprise there is no ™ or ® after the PRIUS.... That leads me to believe that Prius will not have it's own brand.

    I'm thinking this pic was snapped at an AutoShow. Perhaps, an AutoShow traveling employee from the Paris Autoshow took some type of advertisement pic for the future Prius, and hopes he will get to see the new one before us, and he will be able to get the pics to us first. maybe.

    If you really are the "Prius Team," please take some type of pic to help convince us. Even if it's just a pic of something random, that indicates you are part of Toyota.

    I'm not buying it yet. It seems out of character for Toyota to be encouraging rumors in online forums when they are best known for delivering working hardware. A screenshot from the next MFD won't do much to fight all the hype surrounding the Volt, if that's what they're worried about.

    Quit with the pointless scepticism. Danny (the admin) has already confirmed it's official. Toyota marketing have come through PriusChat before.

    This is stupid and pisses me off

    This is stupid and frankly, it pisses me off.

    It's worse than the Sharp ad and the other rollover and scrolling banner ads.

    I wish Danny and the moderators would shut this thread down. Otherwise there'll be thousands of more views and big wastes of time.

    not a high resolution screen!
    so maybe it wil be not the MFD but a small MFD near the speedo.
    like the camty got to display hybrid info when you dont have the MFD option
