The Brady news doesn't look good. Maybe out for the whole season. Also I don't know that anyone expected Turner or Bush to break out like they did.
Agreed...I sure didn't expect anything like that out of Turner. While I knew Bush had the potential I didn't think he'd have that many touches behind Duece....obviously he did and he performed spectacularly...I got to watch most of that game. Latest is an ACL on Brady pending an MRI tomorrow. I've still got Romo and Eli Manning as back-ups so I think I'm OK in the QB dept.
How do you acquire depth on the bench and the rest of the team for that matter. I don't think I have a back up QB.
There are several ways. To pick up free agents off waivers you can go to the "MY TEAM" tab then click "Add Players". From there you can see available FAs and pick someone to your liking. If your bench is full you'll have to specify a player to drop...an under performer or someone who's injured are obvious choices. Alternatively you can offer a trade. I've got some QB depth but could use a solid/consistant RB so if you have someone or even 2 players you want to trade for someone on my team you can offer a trade via the "Trading Block" also under the "MY TEAM" tab.
You'll notice my son discovered the various means of moving players around and got a bit carried away, but it shows you it's very easy once you've played with it a while.
I'll shortly be 2-2; had a rough couple of weeks at the beginning of the season, but I seem to be getting some luck now. All that, and I still have Favre on the bench; maybe I'll put him in when the Jets come back in Week 6.
Few will care, but I'm posting anyway... Tonight is the final game of the first of 2 playoff rounds. It appears (not final until tomorrow) that by virtue of a 1 point win I will be facing Danny Gonzalez (screen name unknown)--who's been dominant all season--in the finals/Super Bowl of the Priuschat Fantasy League next week. I'll post the winner here then...no wagering please!
You had a good season Don, you were a constant threat and beat me at least once. Our division was tough...and 3 of the 4 playoff teams were from our division. It's just that that dang Crushing head dude (maybe from CleanMPG?) is a monster. When my dudes play up to their potential I can outscore him, but my guys are pretty labile in their scoring.... Look at T.O. He can be a 2 or 3 point guy on one week, then the next he's go 3 TDs and a 150 yards. Lendale White...same thing...he's capable of 3 touchdown games.
He's tough, and we did have a tough division. I had fun and learned a few things in my first season. D@mn rookie mistakes. Bye weeks killed me. Trying to figure out who to pick and let go is what killed me, even though I had some good talent all the way through. Will have to try some of what I learned, if I am alive next season and there's an other league. Hope your guys score for you. He's put together a good group. But so have you!
This was a lot of fun, guys. Even though I didn't make it into the playoffs, I really enjoyed it. I will definitely take what I learned this time around and apply it next time I'm in a fantasy football pool. If you guys are thinking of doing this next year, I'm in. Although, I would vote for no auto-draft next time around Oh yeah! Good luck in the finals to both of you!
If you don't do auto-draft you have to find a time where everyone can get online at the same time and go through that draft..it can be crazy as far apart and in so many different time zones like we are. Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer it...I think that logistically it might be a bit of an impossibility.
It pretty much is. I guess it's you and me in the consolation round...thought I'd be in the finals but Eli had maybe his worst game in 2 years and my last minute decision to play him over Romo cost me. I'm trying to get enthused to set my roster for our games..but the excitement of the finals is gone. It was a fun season though.
I can't believe you didn't play Romo at home! I got Crushing your Head 198 to 192. If you go by the best of two? I'm in the Super Bowl? Then it's the MaddDoggs Monsters.
Whoa!! I didn't even look at that final, when I went to work last noc you were down by 40 points or something, I thought you were finished! Great job.:cheer2: Yea, I had Romo in right up to the end and ultimately decided to hedge my bets since I didn't know how all the T.O./Romo/Witten drama would play out and since the Giants were supposed to have a better defense. Really bad choice....obviously now, not so much when I made it. Dang.
