This'll probably be a cash thing for me unless the cost is way higher than I expect. We carry a high deductible.
Are you sure this falls under the "collision" part of your Insurance? If it falls under the "comprehensive" section, there's usually no deductible and no change in premium. Maybe that's a bit of a stretch, but it's worth taking a look before you pay cash.
Just catching up to this thread. How frustrating, not knowing WHO done it! I am so sorry about your Prius. Here's hoping it can be fixed quickly and inexpensively.
