I keep picturing certain political faces behind the wheel and so far they all seem more comfortable in the American Limos. I just wonder if they were at home and needed to go out and pick up a loaf of bread at the store could any of them figure the Prius out or would any of them appreciate the difference between the Prius and limo?
Maybe Ross Perot..., if the Prius had a booster seat and the bull horn mod installed on the hood (Just Kidding)... If anyone.. I think Al Gore may appreciate a Prius.
Never Arnold. I think Joe Biden would be OK with one. But he mostly takes public transportation (Amtrak)
AL GORE! (its in his speaking engagement contract) maybe ralph nadar?? future posts in this thread not necessary! as you might not find other politicians
I thought Al Gore already owned a Prius I know his son does. Since George Bush's home is completely energy efficent I think he'd probably own one too but the Secret Service will need to figure out a way to armour it and still get good gas mileage. Wildkow
Al Gore, $100,000 Man - July 17, 2007 Gore requests that speech sponsors make every effort to use a hybrid vehicle for his transport
Sarah Palin in a Black Prius, and then she'd see that even in very bad winter conditions, the Prius holds it's own.... ...assuming she goes back to her governor job in Alaska.
Maybe Romney can get one to add to his collection that he is having the house with a car elevator made for. It might make him seem more relatable.
If I were Romney, I'd remind them that when his Dad ran American Motors, the Mobil Fuel Economy Challenge in the 50's and 60's had a category for the Rambler because nobody could touch it's fuel economy - the Prius of it's day. Gore owns a fisker karma. He invested in the company, then some politicians used their influence to give the company loans. These loans are now in default. I don't think Gore's son still owns the prius that he was arrested in, but I could be wrong. Bush made his ranch energy efficient, because it saved him money and resources. Gore never made his home efficient, just a little less waste full. When bush moved out of crawford, he purchased a less efficient home. Bush didn't actually buy this lambo http://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-ne...se-catches-government-attention-ar122561.html
Don't foresee any (high-level) politician riding around in a Prius unless Toyota comes up with a version that's fully-armored, tinted, bulletproof, black with solid run-flat tires. The armor on those vehicles is at least five inches thick and is equipped with active countermeasures to stop anti-tank missiles. In addition to being fully NBC-proof. And that's the way politicians like it.
Its not like gore's karma is fully armored. If one wanted a prius they could have it. There is this Prius driving conservative republican congressman Rep. Roscoe Bartlett (R-MD, 6th District) -- The Almanac of American Politics
