favorite peter gabriel song...biko...but i can't listen to it while i drive because i might cry... the rhythm of the heat is also WAY up there... in the car, i mostly listen to npr, but when it gets too static-y: open roads: (mostly atmospheric rock) mogwai built to spill explosions in the sky calexico iron and wine moutain goats radiohead city driving: (mostly rap) aesop rock mos def murs fatlip murder city devils
Now we're talkin' I love electronica/industrial when I drive (or run). Some of my fav's are: NIN (Nine Inch Nails) Die Warzau Apoptygma Berzerk Nitzer Ebb Gravity Kills Covenant Mesh Front Line Assembly Front 242 Leaether Strip Ministry Skinny Puppy Armageddon Dildos A Split Second Rob Zombie I also like 80's new wave, such as: Depeche Mode New Order Duran Duran Soft Cell (well one song) I like the new stuff too. Basically, anything that gets me to involuntarily start to boogy is great stuff for driving. Mike
I rarely listen to music in the car, but when I do it's either classic funk or alt-country. My husband says I have the weirdest taste in music ever.
Local trips -- NPR Long drives -- any of the '60's & '70's 33 1/3 rpm LP record albums that I've been recording to CD, scratches & all. (Much better than their new CD incarnations)
interesting thread. since i listen to many different kinds of music, from segovia to slayer, i gotta say it depends on my mood. although i gotta say when i listen to the speed metal, i gotta keep it on cruise control or else i'll find myself tapping out at 100mph. -----gas mileage out the window-----
