Working on an '04 Prius with 88,000 miles. Check engine lite is on. Use Scan Gage and get P0000. I shut the lite off and it returns in 15 - 30 seconds. An earlier code was P0010. I checked the Valve advance and had a loose plug. NO repete on this code. How do you fix a 'no problem' P0000 DTC???? Thanks Ron
Hi Ron, If the CEL is on, then the engine ECU definitely logged a DTC. If your code reader does not offer a valid code, then you will need to use a better code reader.
Thanks for the input I'm Using a scanII bought through this forum. The scanner shows P0000 so it is geting a stored code and will shut the light off. I Pulled the NEG wire off the battery for 10 minutes but still have the same problem. Ron
I am having a similar problem, but the light only comes on when driving under a higher load condition. I read somewhere that the Scangauge can cause the problem. Try disconnecting the Scangauge and see if the P0000 still returns. Let me know...
