Why can't I access "Fred's House of Politics"? I'd been wondering why there was a lack of political posts here at PriusChat, and then I saw someone mention "Fred's House of Politics". I went to the forum list and sure enough there's a "Fred's House of Politics". But when I click on it, it says I don't have permission to access that page.
I'll tell you...but if you're smart you'll stay away. I promise your life will be happier! There's a sticky in the FHOP section that tells you how to join. http://priuschat.com/forums/freds-h...ical-subforum-fhopolitics-read-here-join.html
Political threads used to be part of Fred's House of Pancakes. Then I believe by popular demand, they were ghettoized into the members only Fred's House of Politics. That way, people who didn't want to even see the titles of political threads, wouldn't have to.
I believe that was a good move. Let's face it, this is a very politically oriented group and rapid responses and bomb throwing is very common. Those that stumble across this forum, and existing members are likely to see thread after thread of non-Prius related threads. This is after all a Prius forum and I think making the politics section something to opt in to was a good idea.
I agree and think it's a great idea! However, there may be a slight flaw in the membership logic since I stumbled onto it and got here from PriusChat Spy page. :spy:
I rally don't understand how to post on this thread since it does not allow new posts but I saw politics so her goes. Would the very first football game of the season be routed to a 2 hour earlier time slot if it was the DNC on tonight versus the GOP? Those poor gamblers must be wringing their hands!
Instead of thread identification for FHOP issues, just put your friend there in the box and people will get the idea. op2: ound:
Sorry! I'm must be dense or just tired, but I, for the life of me, can't figure out your post. I'm missing the point. :noidea:
