How to fix peeling HOV stickers?

    Hi All:

    My 2006 Prius has about 51K miles on it now. My California Carpool Lane stickers are starting to peel off at the corners. The backs of the peeled corners are covered with black road grit.

    I don't like the way it looks, and I am afraid they will continue to peel. But I don't think it is bad enough to go through the hassle of trying to fully remove them and get replacements from the DMV.

    Does anyone have any tips on how to get them re-stuck? What kind of glue should I use? Any tips are welcome!

    The same thing is happening to mine. I was thinking of using some clear tape as a temporary fix. I do not want to remove them and reapply for new ones. Sounds like too much of a hassle.

    You can get new stickers from the DMV for $8.00. You will also have to take off your old stickers and return them to the DMV. They will not only give you new stickers but the paperwork to go with the stickers.
