I've been told that someone here is working on adding aux video to the HU by emulating DVD player or RSE. I'm also currently working on this. I have a IEBus (AVC-Lan) sniffer/logger and I'm able to simulate now the CD Changer. My aim now is to simulate a dvd changer and a backup camera. I've registered the camera(BEC-105) on the net but the HU do not switch to the camera if the car is in reverse. So I'm looking for the camera communication logs. And what's the status of the aux video input? the original topic is here http://www.softservice.com.pl/corolla/avc/...wtopic.php?t=86
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(flux @ Jul 30 2007, 08:19 AM) </div> You are my hero! Seriously, I have been wanting to try this for a while now but 1) my skill with the electronics is marginal 2) we have a new baby in the house and 3) my wife would kill me if she saw her car in pieces one more time. I posted a list of the devices that I think the MFD is programmed to acknowledge from the error code section of the 2006 repair manual in this post. It would be interesting to see what else you can emulate through your hardware. If those hardware addresses are indeed correct we may find that there are other video inputs besides the composite and GVIF connections. If you haven't already take a look at the GVIF threads (there are two) for some more info. Keep us updated on your progress. -momanz
