I found one on the lot of a dealership in western, PA. Unfortunatly it is outside my price range (it's a package 9, i can barely afford a Package 6). Talked to the dealer, he has it and no one is waiting on it, so I thought I would share it with my fellow prius enthusiasts. Toyota of DuBois Du Bois, PA 15801 814-583-5147 I am sorry if this is the wrong category, but I thought I would give you guys a heads up. EDIT: To Clarify, the car at the dealership is a BC / Package 9 car.
Whoops, my fault. Anyone have any experience buying out of state? This dealer is 280 miles from me, which is just about on the cusp of what's a doable trip. I'd like to trade in my old car, and I'm not sure if that's doable out of state.
If that is a #BC (pkg 9) the dealer is asking $411 over MSRP. Maybe there are some floor mats or something in there, though, to bring the price up.
Yeah, sorry about the inconsitency in my post. It is a package 9 car. I was saying that for myself, i could really only afford a package 6.
I think that $26,166 is the MSRP for a package 9 with a Glass Breakage Sensor (V2) and a Preferred Accessory Package (Z1)...
Jonny- The dealer was going to take my car, and it's registered in CT not PA. Of course, my brakes locked up, so it wouldn't be worth the money towing it out there.
If that's the only thing holding you back and the car is still available, go buy it NOW!! It's no big deal, at all, buying out of state. Most places you just pay the taxes back in your home state. This seems a very fair price if you can stand a white car. --evan
This is the only thing holding me back... well, that and the color. Anyone tell me how white looks and how it stands up to dirt?
My white's on its way. I'm not nuts about white, but I'll take what I can get. I can say, of all the cars I've had, the white was second only to the gold in NOT showing dirt, which was surprising. I have bright red right now and it looks filthy the minute I drive it out of the car wash. Same with black (but that's in Florida, where there's dust, pollen, and bugs abounding). I say, if it won't drive you crazy, go for it.
You know, of all the colors I told my dealer I'd take, the only colors I wouldn't take were white, sandstone and the driftwood pearl. I'm afraid white is going to remind me too much of my old cavalier.
