I know, I am easily pleased and maybe a little naive, but my tire pressure monitor light went on yesterday. Got home and filled the tires back to 38/36, reset the monitor and everything is great. I know TPM's can be purchased as an aftermarket item, I'm just impressed my car has them already. What a cool function. Even my college student son was impressed, and he is a gadget freak. I am an engineer and he is an engineering student. We love this stuff. Neato.
Funny, My light came on yesterday as well. Seems I picked up a small screw. Stopped by Advanced Auto Parts, picked up a plug kit. All is well....
The TPMS light came on in our 07 Camry and the fact that the back drivers side tire was at 20psi thanks to a nail in the tire
The TPMS saved me a tire. My wife said the light went on and low and behold it was a large staple that ruined my day.
I enjoy the two beeps Prius greets you with when you open the driver door to enter. It's like saying hello. I also do not mind the backup beeps--it reminds you that you are in the reverse mode.
With a TPMS, hypermiling has never been easier! Now you don't have to worry about your air pressures!
well, keep in mind the TPMS only warns you when the air pressure is 25% lower than the setpoint... you might want to know when it's -20%. I over-inflated the tires to ~48 psi and reset the TPMS so that it'll trigger when a tire reaches ~36 psi (4 psi lower than normal)
