Do used Prius's really go for more than retail

    Depends on where you are and what the supply and demand is.

    There are some people that will pay to get a car right away rather than wait 6-8 weeks or more on a list.

    I've got CA HOV stickers so I'll be selling my 2005 for over KBB.

    Yes! I bought mine new retail, package 2 for 25,500 (another dealer does not mark up over list and sells 2008 for 24,309). A used 2007 with 27K miles is $27495. A 2005 with 42K miles, $25,995...

    6-8 week waiting list??!!?? Where do you live. The wait lists here in Connecticut are 6-9 months.

    I live in the Kansas City area and I know a dealer that buys them in California and then sells them back here for around 30K with no dealing (package 2"s). I bought a new one instead. LOL...
