If there is a linear relationship between the price of gas at the pump vs. the price of light sweet crude oil (as there was when the gasoline prices were going up recently), then the retail price of gasoline should drop by approximately another 20 - 50 cents per gallon.

Either way they attack. According to a couple of articles I've read (Time was one I believe), the Israelis believe that President Bush or a President McCain will be more supportive of an attack on Iran than will a President Obama. Made sense to me that they would think so, whether true or not remains to be seen.

Back on track, I should note that when the price of a barrel of oil dropped $10 from the $147 figure, our prices went up 10 cents, so we're a bit behind it looks like on going down!

Gas is dropping fast !!! Yay ! !

Oh for crying out loud people . . . so what, if the all mighty oil drum drops a little ... afterwards? It goes up ~ and up ~ and up ... then it drops a little ... then up, and up, and up ... and so on.

Ever looked at the price of GOLD over the past 10 years? or housing? or the Fortune 500? My God, it's freaky how the 30, 60, or 90 days of dropping gets folk's panties in a bunch. It's just the nature of the game. Status quo. Oil has peaked. Does that mean there won't be downward hikes? duh. After the next $1.00 run-up, go buy you SUV back, if you think otherwise. (shaking head). Don't get me wrong, I like paying $29 to fill the prius instead of $32 but that doesn't mean I don't see the big picture.

Yes penbed, Montana does have tourist. Or did you mean tourists. :D When taking jabs at Montana (in good humor of course), one ought to spell correctly ... especially if they're from the land of "Chiggers" & "no-seeums" and the like :p . . . You don't get out of Arkansas much? Never heard of Glacier National Park?

Good! That means I can continue kayaking with less tourists, and Lake McDonald here, up at Glacier will remain peaceul

Part of Yellowstone is in Montana. And yes, it has tourist"s". Maybe you never heard of that either? Or Flathead lake? . . . the largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi? Too bad. Some kidding aside, my wife's parents just moved to Arkansas . . . (the land of Tornadoes). "Very sophisticated" according to my wife:

All that kidding said, I too, have been busted, where I'll knock someone's spelling, only to spell badly, etc. Gotta keep your words soft and sweet, lest you have to eat them. Or should I say eat 'um. :p

The US government has told Israel that when oil drops close to $100 a barrel they have a green light.

My tin foil hat told me so. :)

    Yes,
I remember,I also remember President Regan pulling out of Lebanon after the barracks attack.
Please do not mistake my intent,I was simply curious of the time table.
I think yes, President Bush or a President McCain would be more supportive.
I also think Israel would believe a President Obama would be "weak" on the international stage.
To Israel it will be "as needed, when needed" period.

It only needs to drop another $1.50 for Malorn's prediction to come true in Northern California. :flypig:

The cheapest in Orem, Utah is $4.02 but that's for Costco members. Regular gas stations are $4.07. Orem is one of the cheaper cities here. And Utah is the 4th most expensive state for gas. Total bull!

$3.52 today. $4.00 dollar gas will be back no matter who is elected.

Under the radar. Russia: 1,500 killed in Georgia battles - Russia - MSNBC.com

(I could be worng) As for conflict in Iran, look for an October surprise! Obama is a fish out of water! McCain will be seen as a strong leader. (if the font changes it's because it's easier to copy and paste) 29 new Tor-M1 surface-to-air missile @ $700mil have been delivered. Russia has so far not gone through with a proposed sale to Iran of S-300 surface-to-air missiles, an even more powerful air defense system than the Tor-M1. An Israeli defense official said the deal is still on the table, however. This is a big source of consternation for Israel because the system could significantly complicate a pre-emptive Israeli assault on Iran

With the Soviets going into Georgia because of the 1100 mile oil pipeline, they will be hard pressed to stop action by either Israel and the US. US will use this as leverage. I would look for action before the Soviets deliver new S300 S-A missles.

US has admitted special forces are opperating inside Iran. Usually this is a run up for target acquisition and spotting with lasers.

Suadi's have increased output, prepared to add an other 2.5mill as Iraq"s oil is coming on line. Saudi's also have a high dollar interest at stake, if Iran where to succeed. Cheaper to be on board now than to develop or keep pace with Iran's nuc program. Would look to them to peg oil at a predetermined price to offset the pain at the pump. $4 to $5 at the pump depending where you live.

Key targets are already selected, Bunker Busters have been delivered, leadership is targeted, Bush is in China making an Oil for a Go deal and no need to occupy. Look for a couple of carriers to move on station as one is about to be pulled.

Would be a win win, regional stability as well as bring Venezuela back to earth. US would take over Venezuela's refining capacity if they didn't tow the line. National oil reserves would come into play.

$4 gas is here to say!

Would like to trade my 07 van for a 4 door pickup. Made a major haul today and just about couldn't do it! Wasn't even major really.
