Please help BT and prius shop do not communicate. I ordered the skidplate on 6/3/08. I received an email from them on 6/4/08 advising the plate should be sent within 2 weeks. Did not show up, tried to email priusshop no sucess. Went to priuschat. Finally got an email from BT advsiing the plates should be in by the end of week. Wrote to them on Thursday and Friday requesting an update. No reponse. It seems that the only way to get a response from BT or priuschat is to go to priuschat. All I want to know is when my plate will be sent. I paid on 6/3/08 Thanks for anybodys help
To be more in line with other online ordering places, PriusShop should not charge you for the item until it ready to ship. This combined with lack of communication issues leaves the buyer wanting to look elsewhere. And yes I have purchased from PriusShop and the delivery was as estimated. Even a communication back to let you know its on backorder should be expected.
This is from the other thread you started about the same thing (I ordered mine the 19th) BT Tech, 06/26/2008: "I wanted to provide everyone with an update regarding both our BT Tech Skid Plate and BT Tech Strut Tower Brace. We will be receiving our Strut Tower Braces on Monday and will begin shipping them out immediately. Those of you that have placed your order will be receiving your UPS tracking number to the email address that you provided when you placed your order. Our BT Tech Skid Plates will arrive late next week due to a delay with the powdercoater. Once we receive them, they will ship out immediately and we will provide all orders with a UPS tracking number. Thanks everyone for your patience!!" You can actually find your old thread by clicking search on the upper-right and typing in "BT tech skid plate," it's a few down.
Ha!.......... I'm just happy to hear someone else is in the same boat. I was starting to think they forgot me. I ordered an EBH & a BT Tech skid plate on 5/30, the EBH arrived promptly but like you I'm still waiting for the skid plate. I just e-mailed the Prius Shop on Friday, have not heard back from them but it is the weekend. I'm hoping Monday I'll get a response. As I said in my e-mail to them, now that I've written the skid plate will probably arrive Monday.........that would be nice
I try to keep everyone updated on our backorders by posting here on Prius Chat. I never received an email or PM from you as I always respond to either in a timely manner. Our BT Tech Strut Tower Braces will be arriving tomorrow and will ship immediately for all backorders. After all of our backorders are shipped, we should have more in stock and ready to ship right away for those that wish to purchase one. Our BT Tech Skid Plates were delayed about a week and were supposed to arrive last week but will be coming in later this coming week. The delay was caused by our powder coater not being able to complete the batch of skid plates when they were scheduled to. As soon as they arrive they will be shipped out for all pending backorders.
Keep in mind that this is a small batch custom piece. I figure that there will be manufacturing delays and don't mind them. I am in the middle of installing my skid plate and I am truly appreciating the quality and instructions! Thank you BT!
Thank you for your kind words... I have put a lot of time and effort into getting our skid plates shipped out to all that have had them on backorder for sometime. Last week we finally finished shipping out ALL of our backordered skid plates and finally have them in stock for current orders. We have about 10 sets available now and will have the next batch ready in aprox 4-8 weeks time.
