If you have the code, it would be worth opening the air cleaner to see if the throttle butterfly is sooted up. But Mr. K has a 2008 and it would seem a bit early for a soot problem.
The car is a 06 rebuilder and has a cracked the air cleaner housing and a little and I mean small piece of plastic housing was stuck on the butterfly ..tried to restart it several times before knowing what was wrong ....P2111..then... no more ready light .found out some codes ,after the same 3 trouble codes in a row disables the ECM .Even tho you fix the problem and clear the codes (Scanguage)...still no READY light ..it wasn't till I held the START button down for 10 seconds did it reset ....all is well now ..soooo never forget the forced reboot by holding down the START button for 10 seconds ....ps still need an air cleaner box ...m
