I went with the Spectra Blue Mica because it matches my eyes. j/k I really liked the SBM out of all the other colors. Red or black was my next choice.
I have a black Prius and really like it, but it does take alot of washing. I'm particular about my car so maybe I should have gotten one that doesn't show dirt like mine does. But I still love it.
What does it say about my personality since I bought my Prius not caring what color it was? I really think that EVERY color is good looking where the Prius is concerned. Does that mean I have multiple personalities?
I wanted the red but got the Spectra Blue - but I really like it now. Does that make me willing to compromise? My co-workers are already calling it the blue jelly bean.
Black with tan leather interior was the best looking to me. New owner - since June and I love this car! Prius is the best decision I have made all year.
I am known for having a somewhat saturnine disposition, so maybe Lady Jane and I are well suited for each other.
White is the essence of all colors... and I am the best of all personalities Besides, it makes a GREAT canvas to be creative with!
:thumb: :thumb:    Mine is black with dk grey interior, and dark tinted windows.... it's a sports-car wannabe, minus the high-performance gas guzzlin engine!
Got silver because it was available (at the time, there was a couple month wait, and this was an unclaimed extra in the right package). Normally I avoid white and silver, as they seem kind of feminine to me. Same for the lighter colors (like powder blue). But my wife had a like gold car and a silver car and they both worked well with hiding dirt, so I accepted the silver one. Personally, I like dark green best, like my old Subaru, but the Prius doesn't come in that. I've had red and black cars before which were good, but red is kinda flashy for a family guy, black is too hot and hard to take care of. Growing up we had a bright orange pickup which was easy to spot. Also worked well because we could park on county land or wherever and people assumed we were a work crew. My uncle has an old pink Edsel he sometimes brings out for a parade or something. Don't see that color much anymore.
I woke up one day and wanted to get a Prius but didn't discuss it with my wife. I got some pricing and went to a Phoenix meet/greet. After the meet/greet I went to the local dealership to look. I decided I wanted one and was going to get the blue. I called up my wife and she said, "if you don't get green you can't have one". We got off the phone. The salesman, didn't have a green one. We drove the golf car around because they often have cars that just got off the truck and haven't been entered into the system. He had a green one that hadn't been prepped yet sitting back there in a package 6 like I wanted. He told me to hop in and we'd drive it by my house so the wife could see. We did, I let the wife drive it and dropped her off back home so I could go back to the dealership and finish the paperwork. The rest is history.... so I guess you can say I have the color that I do because my wife's the boss. but I ended up liking the color.
I'm not sure this thread works well for Prius owners simply because many buy whatever color is available or accept a secondary choice because of availability. For me I only chose Salsa Red because they didn't have a dark/deep blue Prius in 2005. I was looking for white instead (black is beautiful but too much work and looks like hell if not kept up). In my case the color/personality list posted on page 5? works well for me since deep blue and deep red indicated the same personality type. I'm a sexy beast!!!
I'm sorry but the first time I saw a black Prius it flashed through my mind that it should be called La Cucaracha!
We bought the 2008 Casablonca Red Prius, because my green eyed, blonde haired wife looks so hot in this car and makes the car look better. The red looks real sporty and I like being different. The red has many different shades depending how the sun hits it . like you get 3 different colors of red for the same price.
First post. Hi everyone! Maggie Gray is my color. I waited and waited and waited and waited for it. Then I had to wait some more. I *heart* my Magnetic Gray Prius more than I can express in words. Feel the love.
Lol. Magnetic Grey was my color choice too. But I didn't have to wait. On the day I went out shopping for a car (I was interested in the Toyota Prius, Honda Fit, Mini Cooper & Subaru WRX), I happened to walk into a Toyota dealer first. Because they had the Magnetic Grey in stock in the exact option package I wanted, I bought it on the spot without checking out the other 3 cars on my list. But in answer to OP's question, I don't think my color choice was related much to my personality. My choice of color was based more on what color I thought the Prius looked good in, and what color I hadn't yet had a car in.
