I just got my brand spanking new 2008 Prius T4 (UK model) last Friday... Then took the bags out of the Avensis 2.0 deisel that I just traded in and drove about 200 miles to an air show with the wifey, 2 kids and a boot full of stuff. My intention was to drive it as I normally would drive the Avensis.. so that's what I did. There are back was about 440 miles nearly all motorway driving with the cruise set at around 75 to 80mph. Oh and I had the AC on all the time. The mileage was an impressive 47.8mpg according to the MFD. Most of my normal commuting is off the motorway (highway in the US). I started with a full tank and still had just under a quarter of a tank remaining. I just filled up the car today (Wed) and the missus drove it to work, town driving, and got around 52 mpg. So far I'm loving it.. as they say in McDonalds!
