I'm 6'3" and have a 130 mile round trip commute. No complaints here!

it's not the legroom it's the distance from the steering wheel.

I'm 5'7", or just shy thereof. For me, the legroom is just b_a_r_e_l_y enough for how I feel comfortable driving. We also have a 2002 Accord EX, and I drive with that seat all the way back, too, but that car has slightly more legroom than the Prius. Sure, it's comfortable enough, even for longer rides, but I'm surprised the seat adjustments are so basic. I wouldn't mind another inch or so further back, and like others have mentioned, height adjustment, seat tilt, etc.

I'm 6'1 and feel I have plenty of room. It would be nice if the wheel would telecope to make it feel like my other car, but I knew that going into buying the car. Plenty of space for my legs and I love I can sprawl my legs out as well with the shifter being on the dash.

Hey YoDaddy, thats only 65 miles each way,I bet he is on the read early to beat the rush! Many people drive from Cape Cod to Boston each day. Not saying its fun,but for quality of life issues, sometimes you have to move way out to the outer burbs. And yes, hope he gets that million bucks :)

Wow! You must have platform shoes. I too have my seat all the way back, and I do in any vehicle I own. But I'm 6'3". I couldn't imagine being 8" shorter and still having the seat all the way back.

Not sure what my inseam is but I'd imagine more of my height is made up with my torso. I find the Prius relatively comfortable as a commuter car. On longer trips my rear-side cheeks get a bit numb. It's a shame because I believe the Prius is a pretty darn good road car... just needs a tad better seats.

I'm 6'2" and haven't had any problems with legroom, besides the aforementioned arm-stretching to get to the wheel from all the way back. I used to actually drive with the seat a couple notches forward just so my arms could reach properly, but I guess I've gotten used to it.

I've done lots of 600+-mile-each-way trips, some with stops only for gas and food, and have never had a comfort problem. I almost always drive with my shoes off, and if I'm ever feeling cramped on the open road I can set the cruise control, weave my feet up the firewall behind the dash (you can feel the steering column between your toes!), and stretch out completely. It's a good feeling :D

As awesome as moving those seat rails sounds, you'd lose the ability to make your Prius a bed! (Try removing your front headrests, pushing the seats all the way forward, and reclining them all the way back. Coincidence? I think not!)

I am almost 6' 8" tall and have a 38" inseam. One of the many reasons I was excited to get my Prius was because it had more leg room than the Subaru Forrester I had been driving. One thing that helps is to lean the seat back, which seems to allow my hips to slide back some and give some extra leg room.

When you're as tall as I am, you learn to get used to things. I've always been a milage hound, and so through the years have always driven "peashooters" --a Honda Civic Wagon, a Tacoma 4 banger pickup, etc. -- so the Prius is actually pretty nice as far as roominess goes. I do all day road trips without much of a problem.

I realize that everyone's comfort level is different, and I mean no disrespect of that, but I sometimes can't help but find it a little bit amusing that some with more or less "ordinary" stature have a problem with leg room in the Prius. That being said, I wouldn't mind at all looking into the seat modification mentioned above. If anyone can do this in the Phoenix area, I'd like to know -- before my right knee gets a callous from the shift lever.

    Regards,
    Dave

I'm 6'7" with a 36" inseam and drive a corolla along with 2 explorers. I have no trouble with legroom in the corolla. I ordered a prius around June 1 based on comparisons between the corolla and prius on dimensions and it looked like the prius actually has more room, not much, but a little more. I test drove a prius and thought it would work out just fine. I guess it all depends on what your comfort level is. Reclining the seat is the key if you are tall. I just sold a 1993 F150 4X4 with 132,000 miles to get rid of one of my gas guzzlers - 10 mpg avg. I ordered a spectra blue mica touring with package 2. I don't have any idea when or if I will get it. At the time, the dealer said 8-12 wks, but I think it may be a lot longer.

I'm 6'2" with 34 inch inseam and the fit is tight but comfortable. Drove over 800 miles over Hybridfest weekend and was quite comfortable. Telescoping steering wheel and seat hight adjustment would be nice.

I have to agree with you Rotorhead.

Would be nice if the seat had a bit more adjustments and some back support, but then it reduces the legroom in the back. For those with long legs that have adults riding in the back, the only option would be to lengthen the car a bit.

im 6'3" and i wish the seats were a bit further back, the prius forces me to sit in a more upright position than i normally would prefer.

My inseam is 31" and the distance is barely comfortable. I don't know why they didn't have one or two clicks more...
