Kazots - thanks for the safety tip. Fortunately the camera comes on in my Prius when I go into reverse. That's hard to miss! Let me know if there are other things I should watch out for. I am having trouble pulling the Prius into the garage. Without being able to see the front hood I worry about how close I am to ....well... everything!
The beep is for the DRIVER - to audibly proved to you that you're in REVERSE. Somewhere somebody must've backed up over a school bus full of 1st graders and was quoted afterwards to say "I never heard the motor - I couldn't have been in reverse". Remember? Your new Prius is verrwy verrwy quiet.
