I know Rep. Bartlett of Maryland drives a Prius. Also, Michael McNulty drives a Mariner hybrid. Does anyone know of other Congress critters who drive hybrids? The reason I ask is including them in my mailings on HR 5734, "Bell the Hybrid Act," will maybe enlist allies already in Congress to help fix the bill. Thanks, Bob Wilson
Bob - Here's a database of cars leased by members of congress. This won't include any that own hybrids. But it's a start. Database: Autos Leased by Members of Congress | Washington Bureau Mike

Don't cry, I just read someplace that Obama owns a Ford Escape Hybrid, he is still a US Senator for Illinois so that should count
Not a congressman, but the Mayor of Minneapolis, R.T. Rybak, drives an '07 as his city car and he has had it modified with an A123 Systems of Massachusetts plug in conversion, the $9999 kind. He wants to encourage converter companies to consider Minneapolis as a place to do business. He says he gets 70 MPG regularly with it - 30 miles electric. Our Minnesota legislature is working an a $3000 grant program to encourage this conversion. We'd have our '06 converted rather than buying new in 2010 or 11 when the conversion price comes down to, say $3000.
