So a few days ago My jetta with 100k miles decided to die (well close to die, It wanted another 2k$ repair for the 3rd month it a row so I decided to get rid of it while I could!) and I was checking out the local toyota dealership and was most likely going to go with a corolla since I needed a car that day and the prius wait was far too long. However to my suprise, they had a 2006 prius with 20k miles on the lot! That sounded plenty good enough for me So I snatched that baby up and she looks PERFECT inside and out. You can't tell its not a brand new vehicle. I'm not sure what package it is but it doesnt have navi or bluetooth, just the smart key. Anyway, here it is :)
I commute 70 miles total a day all highway and she's been giving me about 55mpg on the mass pike. (granted I dont drive like a speed demon now, I put on cruise control and eat my breakfast...)
So far I'm in love and I already want my next one to be a prius again. I just wish this one had the navi but I didn't want to wait so I snatched her up!

    Lucky day!
    She looks brand new.
Not sure about the built in navi, after reading on this site I decided to buy one instead.
I got lucky and bought my Pri on-line (last April),got to pick and choose options and got 2,000 off MSRP.
    Enjoy!!

Am I the only one bothered by "put on cruise control and eat my breakfast" snippet while on the Mass turnpike? Good thing I don't live in Mass. I guess.

But any rate, welcome. Just drive safely okay, so you don't need a new vehicle sooner than planned.

Between heated arguments, being angry about crap at work or home, on a PMS trip, having some type of physical calamity/illness/pain, reading billboards, googling the opposite sex, reading your scanguage/mfd, scolding your kids, ... (I could go on FOREVER...) There are a multitude of distractions/attention-breakers/danger-increasers out there in the big ol' bad dangerous and deadly world. The fact is that there is nothing YOU or I can do about any one of those things that OTHER people allow to affect their driving behavior. What you CAN do is control your own driving behavior...you can remain alert, attentive, and distraction-free and on the constant lookout for all of the insane, idiotic, inattentive, misprioritized drivers who might be out there to do you harm. What I don't understand is why people enjoy getting up on their perch/high-horse/pedestal and disparaging other less interested individuals... If these distracted drivers aren't interested enough in keeping their lives/vehicles/loved ones out of harm's way when driving about...why would they pay any attention to some meaningless drivel shoveled about on a web forum?:der:

Yeah...I'm sorry 'bout that. I don't know what I'm going to do about myself

But...I too would like to send a shout out to the OP. Have fun with your car...and enjoy your breakfasts (it's the most important meal of the day you know :p )

It's great drive knowing your not spending a dollar after driving a few miles. Life is good and so will your drive be. Congrad!
