Service Engine Light

    Maintenance Required Light

    Took car in for 5000 mile service.
    Car had 4985 miles on it.
    When car hit 5000 miles the maintenance required light came on.
    Can I reset this myself?
    Sure do not want to go back just to have service light reset!

    just to clarify, is this the maintenance required light or the check engine light?

    Actually I found it under check engine light instructions.
    The light I have is service engine light.
    Guess The lights are considered interchangeable?
    Worked!

    If I am reading correctly I push power button 2x while holding trip odo down for 5 seconds.

    yes the maintenance required light just means go do an oil change. That other light you mentioned could be trouble!

    It will start flashing again at 4500 and come on steady at 5k.
