Bought a Barcelona Red 2004 with 51K and all options, including Nav. and Bluetooth on EBay for $19K. What are others paying for 2004s? BB
In 2004 the red was Salsa Red - a darker red than they have now. Are you in CA? If so, does it have HOV stickers?
No. It's not salvage. He got a good deal considering that it's probably a 2004 package #8. eBay Motors: Toyota : Prius (item 280240965075 end time Jul-05-08 13:20:04 PDT)
That's the one on EBay. Just flew from VT to NJ to pick it up! Drove 5.5 hours and averaged better than 50 MPG! Are the onboard computers to be believed? How can I decipher the option package it has? VIN#? Love it! Fair price? BB
Um, well, given dealer trade-in is nearly $21K and used prius's are easily selling well above MSRP retail, I'd say you got a heck of a deal especially given the title is clean. I ran a carfax on it for you and it was squeaky clean. Nice job!
Yeah - I ran a Carfax also before buying - one owner! Thanks for making feel like I didn't get taken for too much of a ride...We were going to buy the same car a couple of years ago and decided to opt for an AWD Outback. God, do I hate Subarus...
yeah you got a bargain especially considering the package. Bluetooth and Nav. Great job. I think there is a website or your local car dealer can tell you if it has any outstanding recall's. Great job, I'm gonna contact you when I decide to buy Prius # 2 for you to do the bidding. LOL
Option Package Ahhhh...I'm feeling better by the moment! Here is the Intellichoice options page: 2004 Toyota Prius - Optional Packages How can I tell if I have Traction Control? I definitely have the side curtain airbags and front foglights. Looks like it could be a #9! Also, I looked everywhere for an aux jack on the stereo - no luck. Not available in '04? BB
Tell me about it... Previously, the most I spent on a car was $13,000 for my '02 Outback (which I will be lucky to get $8,000 for). The only way we could even justify getting a "new" car was to run the spreadsheet showing gas savings (over $100/mo.!) over the period of the loan (5yrs., but we will likely pay it off sooner). Paying that much money for a car that gets the same or worse MPG is a hard sell with my wife. Then again, I've had 68 cars... BB
Prius's are the new real estate. Home values are going down while Prius values are going up. We live in an upside down world.
So I can get a new Yaris (no Prius but close) for 12K with a factory warranty or a used Prius with no warranty (note to self, its pc.com for a reason)
Awesome deal Pekoe!!! Enjoy! (BTW, I traded in a Jeep Liberty for my Prius a few days ago!) I  this car!
