I waited three weeks - I was told 3-6 weeks. I think there are a lot of factors - the size of the dealership, how many dealerships in the area, and how many people waiting.
It really depends on how specific your request is and how many cars close to that setup come your dealer's way. Did you ask for a specifc trim oin a specific, high-demand color, or were you more flexible than that?
I was told 1-5 on May 3rd today I am at 10 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!! still waiting now I am told end of this month!!!
Went "looking" Monday night and drove mine home Wednesday evening.....2008 black pkg 2. I think my dealer is a high volume dealer in the Chicago suburbs. Good luck!
I've been waiting 1.5 months. When I placed my order, the salesman didn't want to give me an estimate as to when I'll get it. He said his sales manager said it could be 6 months.... I told him that I can be patient to get what I want. (I had planned on replacing my Jeep in the fall, anyway.)
I ordered mine giving the dealer two color choices of a touring pkg 6 and received it in 20 days. Happy Days !!
We were specific in our request. We are now at 47 days and don't see it on our dealer inventory for July yet. The one like our we saw was one ordered by someone else back in April. Right now nobody has been waiting at that dealership more than 90 days. You might want to look at all the details on this in the Prius Waiting List Support Group thread.
It really seems to depend on where you live. From what I've read elsewhere on these boards, it seems Texas is not the easiest place to get a Prius. I placed an order back on Apr 26 and was told 8 to 12 weeks. I live up in D/FW. The dealer called me on Jul 5 and said my car should be in their next allocation and be available around Jul 21-26. That will make it 12-13 weeks total wait. When I ordered I was very specific and said I would wait until the car that fit my exact specification came in. A similar pkg 2 Mag Grey was available 3 weeks ago but I turned it down because it had leather seats which I didn't want to pay for. If you are not picky like me then you have a better chance of getting it sooner. Just keep in touch with multiple dealers. Good luck!
