Fresno baseball is on a roll. I just found out that my Fresno niece's travel softball team -- the Central California Dirt Dogs -- just won the state championship, and are going to Reno next week for the nationals.
I heard something about this "catch" on Only a Game last week. It was actually a set up. The ball girl is a stunt girl wearing a harness and it was recorded for promotional purposes (for use in a commercial). At least, if it's the catch I heard about in the radio story. But hey, you won't ever hear me disrespecting Fresno, because my dad came from Porterville back in the day, and to him, Fresno was the big city.
