My Buddy has an extra 7.1 (2007) North American navigation map that will work in a 2004-2005 (nav gen 4) Prius. This very easy installation updates your maps to the latest version as well as removes the "I Agree" nag screen. He also has a version that updates the maps to 7.1 while retaining the firmware to version 5.1 (called a hybrid disc). This allows you to continue using the "destination override" hack while the car is moving if you are so inclined. The downside is the "I agree" message is not removed in this version of the firmware. Both discs have been tested in my '05 and work flawlessly. $65 for either including shipping anywhere in the continental USA. This is a really cheap and easy way to update your nav maps by 3 or 4 years worth of new information (I'm surprised by how many new roads show up in mine, now) E-mail me at wmstewart66 at gmail dot com for more information.
Surely you're not offering to sell the intellectual property of Toyota, Denso, InfoUSA, et al. for a quarter of Toyota's price? That would be illegal.
nope. original oem straight from his salvage yard. the hybrid disc is a burned slipstream but includes the original 5.1 and 7.1 (so all software is legal to own and sell). Both discs are from 2005's but will work in 2004-2005 Prius. One copy each, first come, first served.
That is very odd, I purchased a 7.1 for my 2005 Prius and still have the "I AGREE" screen? I do see map updates and even errors! A route in NJ that is US 1 -9 (as both rt. 1 and rt. 9 run on the same road for some distance) is spoken as route nineteen. The 5.1 disk that came in my car said route one nine. Interesting? Al
Not if it is the original software, he can sell it for whatever he wishes. Bootleg copies....way different story.
U22 which is the 07.1 upgrade for the 05 Prius did NOT remove the I agree button. Somebody is pulling somebody's "PRIUS".
