SoCal Toyota Prius PCH Meet & Greet Ok…. Lets get the ball rolling on the next OC/LA Prius Meet. Here’s how it will go down. Trying to get the most amount of people involved, the meet will focus on the OC and LA areas, but everyone is welcome to come. Everyone will meet up at Noon on Sunday, February 27th Near Pacific coast Highway at Fashion Island. I’ll post an address as soon as I can confirm a suitable location. We’ll plan to meet there for about an hour. Talk, take photos…. And wait for stragglers. Around 1pm we’ll start to get ready for the caravan. The plan is to cruise up PCH into LA… and Stop at a fast food restaurant or something of that nature for Lunch. The travel time will be aprox 40min to an hour depending on traffic. The caravan will be a great way to promote the Prius, Hybrid Technology, and The Forum. The caravan won’t be moving very fast. I think the bragging rights here are more of the trip Miles per Gallon than overall speed. We’ll stick together and make for a great site to see. I encourage everyone to bring hand held walkie talkies in case you do get separated. Maps, Addresses… ext… will be provided if you need them. Many people will have GPS so this isn’t really needed. Again, the meet is on a Sunday… Mid afternoon so I hope this works for all of you. I would love to see 30 or more Prius traveling down PCH together. Lets make this happen. Please reply saying you’re a Go if you are interested in coming. This is merely so we can get an idea of who’ll be there and a count of people. There are enough people on the forum in this area that I don’t think we’ll have any problem getting say 50 cars if everyone is set on this. The more we get the bigger our show when we cruise PCH. Contact me on AIM. “Jayson Just†By email or Private Message on the Forum If you have any questions. The addresses will be posted soon. The event is next week. Plan for it. Bring friends. And tell every Prius owner you know! Peace, I’ll see you all there. -Jayson Just (05 White BC)
We have lost the RSVP list. I believe there were 11 or so on it last Friday. Please repost if you’re still interested in coming. Thank You.
Meeting Location Washington Mutual @ Fashion Island 551 NEWPORT CENTER DR NEWPORT BEACH, CA 92660 For GPS people. N33° 36'58" W117° 52'20" The bank will be closed on Sunday so I expect their parking lot to be pretty much empty. I was over there today and it was. Washington Mutual is on the back side of the island. When you enter from PCH, make a right and follow the road all the way around. You will see Washington Mutual on the left-hand corner. I don't think security will care as long as we're not too close to the bank. We're park against the back wall adjacent to Washington Mutual. I'll be there about 10-15 mins early. Please try to arrive on time. We'll be there about an hour before we head out and make our way up to Long Beach. If you need to get a hold of me, My Cell number is 951-743-9229 If you want to wait and get a later lunch, some of us are planning on eating in Long Beach, near the park. That would be around 2:30ish.
My family and I will be there as well. I can hardly wait! They are pretty much coming along for the ride LOL. Thanks again for setting this up. It will be lots of fun! Take care, Tisza Millenium Silver '05, Pkg. #3, Silver door edge guards, custom painted mud flaps, 49.8 mpg @ 900 miles on odo "Because He loves Me, that's why..." "Prius, the ultimate in Geek Bling"
I intend to be there, at least for the meet and greet. Anytime we get too close to Fashion Island, there's usually some shopping involved. I'm a new owner and look forward to seeing everyone. DGStan
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Brian\";p=\"67000)</div> The meet starts at Noon. But we are going to hang out for about an hour before we head out. So if your going to run a little late. No problem. Just give us the heads up and we'll look for you before we leave. I'm going to get there around 11:45. Also, the meet is this Sunday. Please, everyone tell every Prius Owner you know. Lets try to get as many people as we can.
I had a great time today. The caravan was fun, a few people did a double-take when they saw us. Sorry we couldn't stay for lunch but we had to get back to Norco and feed the horses. Count me in next time. I will be posting pictures later today.
