    Give it time. Seven posts - oh, 13 now - and your first day is too soon to panic. The friends thing is pretty new for us, anyway, and even some of the oldtimers have zeros. As long as you have genuine friends in the so-called real world, I wouldn't worry about it just yet. :)

    I have a phone number I call sometimes where I can meet new friends who are really good looking. They really like to talk. They are supposed to be local but my phone bill is really high so I think it must be long distance. Let me know if you still want some new friends and I'll give you the number. I think they have guys and girls but I have to warn you some of them really "enjoy" talking on the phone if you know what I mean.
