Hi guys - I'm a relative newbie. The other day I wasn't paying enough attention to my gas gauge, and I got the flashing one-bar freak-out display!! I went ASAP to a station, about 5 miles away, where to my relief the tank took just under 10 gals (put in very slowly, so more accurate?). I didn't hurt her, did I????
Whew!! Thanks.....actually, delving further into other topics I stumbled upon folks who actually RAN OUT, which I did not. I just ran low, and when I read these other stories about batteries huffing and dash lights all glowing, I felt MUCH better!
Seriously, It's not a good idea to run fuel gauge below 2 pips. There is just no good reason to run low. The flashing pip is there to let you know to fillup so no harm done. Welcome to the forum, lots of good info here. search tool is good for finding what you want to know.
