Central Florida Prius Club

I'm seeing more and more Prii around the Central Florida/Orlando area. Anyone interested in meeting up as a group? I've never really been in a car club, but there seems to be so much enthusiasm about these cars... it might be fun to get together and share experiences, show off various modifications, lie about our mpg's, etc...

I live near Clermont, but would be willing to travel if the majority would prefer to meet elsewhere.

Excellent! I know a lot of car enthusiasts will meet-up at a Steak-N-Shake or an A&W... we've got both here in Clermont, and I know there are several in the Central Florida area. It would be kind of cool to have all of us roll into one of those one evening.

Any other interest in getting a group together?

 

We're getting some interest... it would be cool if we could pick a time and place (maybe like I suggested earlier... an A&W or Steak-N-Shake, where they are used to having car clubs roll in) and just see who can make it.

Whenever I see another Prius owner, I typically will stop and talk to them. I have yet to meet one that isn't really into their car. If we can let enough people know that there are like-minded enthusiasts in the Central Florida area, I bet we could get a pretty good group together. It doesn't have to be anything formal... just fun!

Definitely! On my way home from work today, there were 3 of us driving in a group up the turnpike. It was so cool!

On a side note, I installed my BT Tech Chassis Stiffening Plate this evening. I'm curious to see, first-hand, the mods that other Prius owners have made.

Put some thought into where & when... even if it just starts with a couple of us, I have a feeling the interest will continue to grow.

Just checking in... so far, we've got folks from Ruskin to Gainesville to Orlando that have responded saying that they would like to get together and talk about our cars, maybe even do a little Prius Run. I'm thinking it would be fun to hit an A&W or a Steak-n-Shake, maybe grab a root beer and see what everybody has done with their cars since they got 'em.

As far as a central meeting place, I'm partial to Clermont, only because we have both of the fine eating establishments mentioned above and there are some pretty fun roads to drive on in this area (561, 19 & 27)... but I'm open to other suggestions.
