Seriously. Prius drivers what is wrong with you guys?

DRIVING the prius makes you a mature and level-headed driver. it also makes you aware that PUNCHING IT FROM LIGHT TO LIGHT only consumes fuel, NOT hat it will get you ahead at the end of the day.

If you prius haters want to drive 10-15+ ABOVE the speed limit, YOU are at fault, NOT US that try to drive the posted speed limit. If YOU speeders think you have rights going above the speed limit, OK, we prius drivers have the EQUAL rights, IF NOT MORE because we're obeying the speed limit, which should be law.

YOU speeders go and drive as fast as you want, loose your licenses or worst yet, kill yourselves by going full throttle on your high horsepower vehicles that make all the OIL Barrons richer than sin.

I drive the speed limit, keep my blood pressure under control and get there just about as fast as anyone else. I've gone faster than most people here as i also own and race high horsepower cars. There's a time and place for that crap, and the place is NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT on our streets where we are held responsible for good driving.

Getting to my desired destination safely without risking injury to myself, or anyone else is a golden rule to live by.

Wow, you have described my driving EXACTLY! I do all those things, depending on my mood. But from here on out, I will do my best to drive more like everyone else. Thank you for your constructive criticism. You make me... want to be a better Prius driver.

 

Not around here. I'd have a much easier time counting the ones that drive slow instead of flying passed me at 80mph+. It's quite agrivating knowing what each truck/SUV that passes me gets for fuel milage and knowing they are doing nothing to improve it. Damn America Haters!

 

Are those four cars Priuses? Or does this mean that people in OTHER cars driven discourteously?

Does the person who messes this up every three minutes drive a Prius every time? Or does this mean that OTHER cars are driven discourteously?

Your OP seemed to point out that most bad driving you see comes from Priuses. Yet here you seem to point out that it can come from anywhere. Not sure I quite get your point.

So, in which cars in particular would it be better to speed and drive reclessly? I see this all the time in other cars, and don't know which cars are being driven appropriately in this manner, and which ones I should watch out for.

 

NINOUS26, YOUR YOUTUBE comparison doesn't prove a darn thing. to compare a BMW M3 against a full throttle prius shows the lack of knowledge and the comparison is actually quite hilarious.

the prius was NEVER built or envisioned to be a race car. it's a purposeful built car with one concept in mind.............FE. we all know each car is built for a specific reason...................i'll give you this example........................

i have a supercharged, NOS, Corvette Z06 that will run rings around that silly M3 at will..................and will get better gas mileage following that slow M3 around the track, that is until i punch it and leave the M3 like a bad habit................SO WHAT???? both cars, different reasons........................

compare apples to apples and dont mix in the oranges...............that youtube comparison really shows the ignorance of this silly show and that absurd commentator that obviously has a chip on his shoulder against the PRIus. in short, it actually makes me prouder than ever to have a prius................!!!!!!!!!!!

put the M3 as a daily commuter for MPG's in mind against the prius and our little prius' will make the M3 wish that it never stepped on the road.

EVERYBODY has choices. you chose the G35, you say you have a comfortable bank account, GOOD FOR YOU............................

I have many cars, my bank account is VERY comfortable indeed, yet i still choose the prius for my daily commuter..............guess what? i wouldn't have it any other way.

YOU GO and spend your money on oil companies to make them rich, i'll have a good lunch, enjoy a nice glass of wine and the scenery on the beach.

u see a prius driving 20 on a 45 and u come yell at us in a prius forum. if u see a buick driving 20 on a 45, do u go to a buick forum (if there's such forum) and yell at them? roads are public u know. i saw a guy driving his viper at 35mph on a 45.. that guy should be shot then??

there is shortage of gasoline (supply and demand)

ninious26...I have seen everything you noted in your original post every single day driving to and from work. Guess what, not a single incident involved a Prius. Pick any model to observe and I would bet you'd see the same behavior. Bad drivers are bad drivers, it doesn't matter what they are driving.

 

Because they are better than you, they live in a house, not under a bridge and they have a social conscience. Sorry you can't afford a Prius.

I've likely owned more fast, high horsepower cars/trucks than you realize. I know quite a bit about vehicle performance and general specs so I cannot help but analyze them when they drive by. In the street racing scene it was quite an important skill to have.

I changed my driving habits and my vehicle choice when I learned more about the world and how it works. When I realized my negative contributions to the planet (this includes people) I decided to minimize those contributions as much as possible. I see nothing wrong with my change of lifestyle.

As for oil. Please cite your sources for such a rant.

Now go back up to my first post (page#2, post #15) and check out the links I posted that detail the negative effects automobile emmisions have on the health of people, the environment, national security,and our economy. If after reading up on the relavent data you cannot understand why people who waste energy could literally be called america haters then you need to go back and read the data again. If you choose not to I completely understand your desire to remain ignorant on the topic but I will tell you to STFU next time you address me in a stereotypical way.

I wouldn't recommend him going on there to troll though. I know enough of the members to know they won't tolerate him in such a gracious manner as PC has.

 

It's obvious you are not ready for such educated dialog. When you reach a level in which you can come in here and talk about science and public policy we'd be glad to engage in discussion. Until then it seems we must lower our current level of dialog to matters of drywall hanging and which lawnmower has the best mulching ability.
