Hello everyone:canada: We were only going to purchase a Prius in the fall, but with gas prices skyrocketing started looking in April. Our dealer was looking around for us and found what we believe was a good deal. So on May 28th we picked up our 2006 Prius. It was a Toyota executive car with only 8280 miles. We were contemplating getting the extended warranty as 2 years has already gone by, but when we picked up the car the dealer gave us the full warranty as if it was a new 2008. Definitely pleased with that. So far, since our driving is part city,part secondary highway and highway, we are getting 55 mpg. We just love the car.
I'm glad your happy with your new car. We ordered our Prius on May 2, and we took delivery on Wednesday, Jun 18 from Toyota of Knoxville. So far I have taken one trip of about 160 miles total, and it was a joy to drive. The color is classic silver grey, and the package is #2.
Hubby's Barcelona red should be here next month. I don't know why he's not more excited, probably because he hasn't been driving a Pri like I have for the past year and know how much fun it can be.
