Ok...I have to admit it. I come from a long line of psychotic car owners who create emotional attachments to their vehicles. Having said that...I just took delivery of my PRIUS on 6/18/08 and am giving myself a week or two to sort out the cars personality before I name it. Do you name your cars? If so can you share the name with us, and maybe the reason behind it?
I don't normally name my vehicles but my brother convinced me to name my new Spectra Blue should be named Dave Niehaus since we are in Seattle and it's Mariner Blue. I call him Niehaus for short.
Rascal, My Amapola, Spanish for "poppy," suggests that you see this thread: http://priuschat.com/forums/freds-h...s-your-prius-have-name.html?highlight=amapola
It's name is Flounder because it is a different kind of car as a flounder is a different kind of fish (both eyes are on one of its flat sides).
'Rita (short for marguerita) since the Silver Pine Mica makes me think of a pitcher of frozen margueritas. And I love Jimmy Buffett, too, so my garage will be forever known as "Margueritaville".
Of course! We also have cars with personality. Our Buick is positively sentient! Our Prius is named Rudy. I don't know why, he tells me it is his name. I won't argue with him.
Gitchie Gitichie Goo Poodle dumpkins whipper snicker doodle bug love Prius car. <Ahh....catches breath> OR You piece of %&%# , for short. ZC1
Ours is named "Maggie" (color=Magnetic Grey) The kids really get a kick out of having a name for the car.
I named my car Spike, like Snoopy's tough, little brother, and also because it is silver pine mica, Spike it's a quasi acronym for its color.
Yup, the car is called Daisy, but the SatNav is called Dolores . . Dais, because Daisies come out the exhaust when we drive down the road and Dolores was called so by the previous owner and we fear her wrath if we try rename her!
Priscilla, Priscilla Prius. Came up with that after she started talking to me. Let me know if anyone figures out how to modify the voice in the VAS. I'd like something a little more exotic--even more for my wife to worry about as I spend more and more time with Priscilla...
