Here are some items I'd like customized, if possible:

    SMART UNLOCK

Whenever I open my car, only the driver side door unlocks with the Smart system. I was reading that the default setting is to open the driver side door only, but that it can be set to ALL or EACH.

    KEY LOW-BATT WRN

This is off by default. I think it would be nice to have some idea when the Fob's battery is low.

    WARN BY GLS SEN

This is off by default, which doesn't make any sense.

Has anyone been able to modify these? Is there some way that I can do it or do I have to take it into the dealer? If I take it to the dealer, what are the odds that he'll screw up my car?

The first item you can adjust, easily, yourself. You hold the panic and unlock button (I think, check your manual for detailed instructions) and it will cycle through the options of driver only, all doors, or all doors and hatch.

Glass sensor is only on if you have a glass sensor in your car...do you?

I didn't know about the low battery warning...can't help you there.

You can re-program "which doors unlock" with your "Smart Unlock" function. The procedure is explained on pp 30-31 of your Owner's Manual (at least on the 2004 Prius manual). Section 2-1 Smart Entry and Start System. Reprogramming takes a little patience but can be done. I had to try several time for it to "take." Although the Manual is a little difficult to interpret, there's much useiful information available.

    Enjoy your Prius !!

P.S. I *ALWAYS* avoid posts using those IRRITATING animated avatars. I just quickly scroll past them.

I thought all Package #6 Prius's had a glass sensor... but I could be wrong.

I have a #6 and it didn't include the GBS. I had to have it added.

Hi Evan. Is there a page that lists the items you can reset thru body customization? Most of the items can only be done thru the scan tool by a dealer. Any good dealer/tech should be able to handle it,if you are going to one,

Yes there is a list. I have it in German, but ask DanMan, I expect he will have the US version.

The programming takes minutes. I did mine myself when the tech give me the system to play with one day. :p Nice bit of kit, but has a cost of over 50% of the cars value

Rick I think you hit your head when you fell off the chair while doing your taxs yesterday. hope you get feeling better & your memory starts to return soon. So you can find your way to work. If you do find your self at work than you at least have TIS. Good Luck Buddy.

I am working on formatting it from PDF so it can be directly in a post rather than an attachment.
