I am entering my "expected delivery window" tomorrow. They told me between the 10th & 15th. The more I wait, the more this reminds me of having a baby. Thankfully, I have not waited 9 months and I have not gained a bunch of weight in sympathy with my wife like I did last time. I am constantly perusing John's User Guide though, just like I wore out my copy of Dr. Spock's famed baby manual during the long wait 20 years ago (today actually). My daughter came about 9 days late so I sure hope that does not repeat itself with the car. When I get "The Call", I will be just as ready. I have my primary and secondary routes planned from home and office to the Credit Union branch where delivery is planned. My co-workers are on stand-by to cover at a moment's notice. The only problem is that if I get stopped by a cop on the way, I won't have a bulging, huffing and puffing woman with me and I doubt he'd cut me a break if I told him what I was really up to. Oh well, I'll take my chances.
My due date is the 23rd, but I could deliver early according to the salesman. Even if it is the 23rd, I've only had to wait a little over 2 weeks. The dealership had a Silver Pine Mica with Package 6 (bisgue leather interior) and a few other extras coming in that no one had reserved yet. Apparently the color is not one of the more popular choices, but I'm actually digging it...it matches my eyes! I was adamant about the bells and whistles, less important was the exterior color.
You are too funny! I ordered mine two weeks ago and don't even have a due date at this point. Some "children" take longer than others for gestation.
Well, here are the pix. My daughter is already jealous. I've had a ball with it today. Just got back from a 52 mi round trip and got 47.6 mpg and I don't even know what I'm doing yet!
Congratulations on your new baby! As time goes by and gas goes up you'll love him even more!! BTW, I love that color.
My preference was Superwhite, which I was fortunate enough to find - but Silver Pine Mica is a great color - it's GREEN! Enjoy your ride.
I love the white...I've seen a few on the road, but the last SEVEN cars we have had have been either black or white and I was just ready for some color The only down side to my blue is it does not match my Appalachian State University motif I had going with my black Tacoma. On football weekends I would dress that baby up in my black & gold magnets & flags and head up that mountain to watch some magic happen. White, black or even driftwood would have matched, but like I said, I needed a change. The up side is that now those trips will cost me half as much to get there!
Thanks for sharing those great pics. The Toyota website and their print brochure are off, compared to the color in person. Your pictures are much better. The Super White is a great color, but way too many commercial vehicles use the white, probably to insure their advertising decals stand out. :car:
