Hi pr4424, Could you point me in the direction of more details on this? Thanks so much! PS I found the origin thread.....
Barry, Please try this link; I rec'd my $500 rebate in about 6 to 8 wks back in February. http://www.depweb.state.pa.us/enintech/cwp/view.asp?a=1412&Q=502288&PM=1
Yes, that is where I got it from as well. Still waiting for my check but they confirmed it would be coming...
There is an email address on one of the forms...I just emailed them to make sure they received it and they said they did and it was approved.
The document links on the PA website do not work - they go to some Xerox website that probably hosts the document, but it's broken for some reason. Their phone line says it still is available, but it takes 5 days to get a call back from them (the wheels of government!). Could one of you people who got a rebate please email me the forms and instructions? Please PM me and I will provide my email address. Thanks, Rick [Edit: I received the documents. No further need to reply. Thanks!]
Thanks to this forum I found the site and sent in the rebate. I got my check this past Friday, June 6th. No thanks to my dealer who told us when we bought the car in January 2008 that there were no rebates available from the state or federal government. Many thanks to all. Bob Mitchell:roll:
Just saw this thread. We live in PA - my wife got here 08 prius 1st week of march 2008. The links on the DEP site don't work so I was hoping that someone who has applied for the rebate knows the terms - is her car eligible for the rebate and is the offer still on the table. My dealer told me that there were no gov't fund ed incentives when I bought the car in march.... I'm going to be pissed if we were eligible and they misinformed me. Since the links on the site don't work I'll call them on monday but maybe someone could shed some light on this before then. Thanks in advance for your help !
The links are working for me. Here are the three documents linked from the DEP Web page (save from here, then open). View attachment 7000-FM-ETD0035a Guidance.pdf View attachment 7000-FM-ETD0035b Form.pdf View attachment 2007-08_Hybrids.doc You have 6 months to submit the rebate information, and the required documentation is all stuff you should have available to you.
Thanks for providing me with those PDF files. I'll certainly fill them out and give them a try. Hopefully they'll still have funds to give out. Seems like they do based on others post. Why would the dealership not be aware of this incentive and when asked say that all incentives were gone. Afterall they are car salesman..... Thanks Again!
The dealer where I picked up my car yesterday told me that they do not promote the credits because they are concerned that people will count on getting the money. They worry that if people get rejected (for a number of reasons - funds run out, residency requirements aren't met perfectly, names don't match up perfectly on documents) they will come back to the dealer and ask them to pay the $500 because they made it part of their sales pitch. So rather than take on that liability, they simply don't volunteer the information. I can see their point. If you specifically ask them about the PA tax credit, they will print out the forms and give them to you to fill out.
Just got my $500 PA rebate check today. Took exactly 6 weeks. The Toyota dealer gave me the forms and receipts--I just put it in the mail. Good service.
