So the bluetooth is always on on my phone- I was able to transfer all of my phonebook to the prius, but sometimes the only way I can make a call is either by using the keypad on the phone, or calling someone in the speed dial area. Otherwise, a lot of the time, my phonebook is grayed out and so is the number pad on the screen on the car. I can't make a call from the screen. What gives?
are u at full stop while trying this??? maybe theres a speed lock out mode like the navigation system???
There definitely is. If you're moving you can't call anything but speed dials and "emergency" (which I assume is your local version of the US's 911 but I've never checked)
we figured that out too. hehe...tom was driving and i was trying to set up the bluetooth to show off to the grand kids. however, the screen i needed to access was greyed out off and on. the right screen would become accessible and as soon as i tried to touch it, it would go away........it was like watching the 3 stooges. it was going off and on because you cant do anything while the car is in motion. when we would come to a stop sign, i could work with it. nice safety feature i suppose. anyway, we pulled over to the side of the road and finished setting it up. it was funny though to see us fiddling with it. so the grandkids say.....
