first time here, read up on alot of stuff going to college in fall. its a 15km commute. thinking of picking up a 05 prius with around 66,000km on it(like 40something k miles) its got warranty till 2010 and certified from toyota, navi included. anything i should look for before buying it?
I bought an 04 in April. No issues at all. It had 60K miles on it when I got it. I think I've put about 3K more since then. I got a good deal then...now I think I would probably have to pay a few thousand more.
We were going to buy a used Prius, as we always buy newer used/low mileage autos, you usually save thousands that way. But I soon found that with the Prius, people were asking nearly the same price for a new used that we could get for a brand new one! So we decided to bite the the bullet and buy new. What are they asking for the Prius you are looking at?
well here in canada cars are far more expensive, this prius when originally bought new costed 30,300 they are asking 22500 on the road.
Can you get a carfax type of report to verify that nothing major bad has happened to it? Considering it still has the warranty you should be pretty safe.
