OK, so it's not a 100% rave, but it's still damn good. In fact, Our Favorite Auto rates the top in CR's "Green Car" category. Check it out: http://www.consumerreports.org/main/conten...D=1078888540921 Be sure to see the video too (I'll take anything I can whilst I wait my Pri....) Jim
May's Consumer Reports will feature a full evaluation of the 2004 Prius. This should be out during the first week of April.
Monday, 15 9:30 PM Motorweek 151 SPEED Tuesday, 16 1:30 AM Motorweek 151 SPEED Tuesday, 16 8:00 AM Motorweek 151 SPEED Wednesday, 17 3:00 PM Motorweek 151 SPEED Those are the listings for me - I'll try to get it recorded and post it for others to watch.
One other little quirk in the Consumer Reports article -- they list Daytime Running Lights (DRL) as optional. I don't think they are available and they're mandatory in Canada (where HID isn't available). Am I missing something, or is DRL available if you don't have the HID? I have an AM #7 package which has the HID lights. Price
You're not missing anything - this wasn't an option, HID or not, in the US. Add yet another reason many groups are questioning the journalistic integrity of Consumer Reports since in the past few years alone it's been found that they haven't even tested some of the products that they're rated and done write-ups on. Ever since they listed Bose as one of the best speaker systems I started to question them. They know nothing about electronics.
Danny, you're right! I've always felt they slighted the Macintosh. But at least with the Prius, they talk it up, DRL or no DRL. Can't be a bad thing. Jim
