I keep them there as well. However, I find it somewhat inconvenient when I want to carry all of the manuals from the car into my house or office.
I got the faux leather vinyl cover for the owner's manual and one for the nav manual. Nothing for the rest of the stuff.
Problem with the $6.95 deal is that you'll pay almost $5 in shipping. Might be cheaper to pick it up at your local dealer. On the other hand, my deal is such scum (stole my manuals) that I'll never give them another nickel and just ordered it
My first prius came with the manuals all loose; the second, in a fairly cheap heavy-paper envelope. A couple of people hinted at this earlier in the thread: did you know that there's a spot in the lower glove box that I think was designed to hold all the manuals (either loose or in a case)? Look at the far back (towards the motors)...there's a slot cut out of the bottom, in which the manuals can be set standing up. They fit in there perfectly, and the glove box closes fine...frees up a lot of room! rob
Blue vinyl case with the dealership name on it, and clear inserts which contained the cards from the salesman and service manager (I think). Not fancy but effective. Actually a little crowded with the navigation manual. It does fit very neatly in the glove box.
All of my glove box goodies came in that dark black leather-like folder with the zipper and red Toyota lettering that fits snugly in the slot in the lower glove box.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(onerpm\";p=\"64999)</div> I really like that slot in the back of the lower glove box. It works out fine for loose or packaged manuals. I got my manuals loose. I don't think that Toyota sends manuals out with cars all put together in zippered binders. I have this impression that it is a dealer choice to provide this or not. Toyota may make great cars, but they really need to work on dealer consistency.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(guyweathersby\";p=\"75041)</div> Same here except yellow color from Penske Toyota.
One more datapoint. My '05 came with the leatherette zipper binder... and they sent me a tin of cookies with the "review" card.
