Do any dealers have any Priuses on the lot in the Northeast? My sister is looking for a package one or two... As others have mentioned, things are getting tight! Thanks! Bill
There are a few around here, I just checked online....one #2 (black) at Toyota of Newport (where I bought mine) and a couple at Tarbox. They are getting scarce, though.
I found that the couple listed on dealer websites are usually either 1) not true/old info or 2) a test drive vehicle they won't part with right now (unless you offer over sticker for it). Many dealers around here don't have any models on their online inventory list, but that wouldn't be wise. If a dealer leaves a few on the website like some have, then people will be inclined to immediately go to the dealer or call. Either way, now that dealer has a hook on you to order from them.
Is New York close enough? I rereieved a email from Queensboro Toyota in NYC, a package 5 gray . BUT the dealer price is 30683 !!!! OK, it is insane. QUEENSBORO TOYOTA, PRIUS AVAILABLE!!! COLOR- CLASSIC SILVER METALLIC PACKAGE# 5 - NL NAVIGATION SYSTEM SELLING PRICE $ 30,683.00
thanks for the replies... i agree with stevecaz; the website car listings tend to be junk ("oh, they haven't taken those down yet?"). my sister ended up putting her name on a list... we'll see how long it takes. billboe
Just got a call from my salesman The Prius I ordered 0n 5/23 will be in at the end of the month. Other than that I think evry Prius is spoken for. I've called dealers that have them listed in there inventory. Then find out they haven't updated the inventory on the website.
Fox Toyota in East Prov had a blue 2007 Package 3, with 18000 miles on it, sold in in less than 24 hours for $28000! You can buy the new for less if you want to wait . . . .
