I stopped by Carl Malone Toyota in Albuquerque today to get some oil-change washers. I asked the usual salesman in front of the lot how many Prii were on the lot and the response was ZERO. Then I asked how long the wait is, he said three months. New Mexico is usually at the bottom of the list of the distribution of just about anything. How long is the wait where you are? Glad I bought mine last year... but I was thinking about getting another.
My dealer says September if you order now, as of today. Contrary to some reports, Prius is still available this year.
We ordered ours on May 17th and were told to expect delivery the 1st half of August. I sure hope that it is sooner since the a/c compressor just went out in the car it will replace.
I put down a deposit May 13th and basically have been told 2-4 months ... generally I had heard 8-12 weeks most places I called. I am in Lincoln, Nebraska and put down a deposit at a smaller dealership in Columbus, Nebraska. I had called Lincoln, Des Moines, Kansas City, Chicago, Denver, Sioux Falls as well.
placed a deposit yesterday at a dealership outside of Philly and was told that it will arrive between 6-8 weeks.
I ordered in Florence, SC and was told 3-6 weeks. I was #2 on their "list". This is week 2 and im getting antsy!!!
Placed a deposit on May 24th at the dealership in Puyallup, WA and was told 6-12 weeks but may be sooner because we are somewhat flexible on the color and Toyota just increased their allocation of cars. Another local dealership called me this afternoon and said they had a black 2008 with package #3 for $25,900 if I wanted it but I declined. I'm holding out for a Seaside Pearl, Barcelona Red or Magnetic Gray.
I bought mine 6 months ago, but I went back to the dealer pages in Kansas City today just to check their inventory. They've pulled the Prius from the "search box." You can't even look for it right now. Just a few months ago the K.C. inventory was in the 70's. I think it's safe to say it's a long wait in Western Missouri.
Ordered mine May 15th in a suburb or Detroit. I was told the wait would be 6-8 weeks. Here in Kalamazoo, the wait was 4 1/2 months!!!
