If you use the term "footprint" conversationally, are you an environmentalist?

The problem isn't the people serving their country or the tools they use who are in the line of fire... The problem is the lack of wisdom to know when and how we need to utilize this type of skillset.

so, what you are saying is
as long as you are the one pulling the trigger --all is cool with you?

what if you were on receiving end?

    would it matter then?

I'd prefer not to be on either end, but as the saying goes, 'tis better to give than receive.

The direction of this topic is straying from the OP's question and is more relevant in FHOP -- why don't you start a moral/ethical thread there or create your own thread in the environmental discussion directory on the environmental effects of DU?

well, looks like the table are turning
slowly but surely Americans are becomming NEXT targets:

    Militarized Police Celebrate Killing Americans

A former US Army tank driver asserts that two figures depicted on the side of an APC SWAT tank that was recently used to protect cops from the deadly threat of women and children during the raid of a West Texas polygamist retreat actually represents the amount of people killed by police.
Gary Roberts, a veteran Army tank driver in the 80’s, relates to us the fact that the two figures etched into the side of the US M113 Armored Personnel Carrier denote “kills,†as in how many people the SWAT unit has killed. The other image appears to depict a vehicle, according to Roberts.
Roberts appeared on The Alex Jones Show today to confirm the fact that Midland County police are apparently so proud of the people they have murdered, they feel the need to emblazon it on the side of their souped-up tank.

Bragging about how many victims a militarized police unit has claimed sounds like a story out of Maoist China or a Communist dictatorship like Zimbabwe, but it’s happening right here in America.
As the Associated Press reported at the time, “Police wore body armor, sported automatic weapons and were backed by an armored personnel carrier for a raid on a West Texas polygamist retreat.â€
“A sect member whose wife shot the video said sect members got the impression that state officials “were doing something more than they said they were going to do.†The man declined to give his name for fear that speaking out would cause problems for his children, who are in state custody,†according to the report.

why don't you tell that to other people who have moved on this track before i did?
all i did is -- i answered a question to someone who asked me for the proof that DNA is damaged by DU.

besides, even if i were going to start such enviromental a thread -- i know where it would lead.
I know full well that if you want to have a good discussion you need to have relatively aware and informed people on a certain subject matter.

i do not see that here, so i will not go into it.

I personally know no one that uses that term. And I would not be compelled to think/use such terms as carbon output, footprint, etc.

I'm here (with a Prius) to save fuel expenses. Any other benefit perceived by others they can wrap any way they like.

I'm closing this thread due to topic creep.

I think it was the tanks that finally nailed the coffin.
