Just purchased my new 2008 Prius with package #2. As a dog owner, I'd like to get a cargo liner for hatchback area. Only one I have noticed is the Weathertech at a hefty $120+. A bit pricey for me after buying the Prius was a stretch for me. any suggestions of other brands of cargo liners? After only 100 miles I'm already loving my Prius. Averaged 41 miles over the first 100 miles Can't keep my eyes off how I am doing MPH wise. Hope I can break my habit and just enjoy the ride! Imagine there are many Prius owners in Portland. anyone have an extra cargo liner in black- would love to hear from fellow Portlanders! -jazzkrow (jazz is my other passion!)
Hey jazzkrow, welcome to PriusChat! Check out the local group in my sig. I put my dog in the back seat with a drop cloth over the seat and tucked in. Sigma Automotive has a full carpet cargo mat for $195 (look about half-way down the page). You'll be happy to know the seat fabric cleans easily.
Hi jazzkrow, I think the cheapest fix is to go to Home Depot or similar store to get either inexpensive commercial carpeting or vinyl runner type material and cut a piece or pieces to line the cargo area. Here's one thread about using a $9 Home Depot carpet mat: http://priuschat.com/forums/prius-modifications/40565-inexpensive-option-cargo-area-mat.html Also, you may want to check out these threads with the word "cargo" in the title: PriusChat Forums - Search Results Good luck.
MacNeil Auto makes a great cargo liner for the Prius along with their famous weathertech mats. I have them all and they are the best in the industry hands down.
A PriusChatter is selling his black Weathertech liner for $50 + shipping: http://priuschat.com/forums/private...cover-mudguard-wheelskin-mats-trunkmat-2.html Also, Rubber Queen makes a 32.25" x 47.25", rubber cargo mat that is trimmable, and sells in auto parts stores for $20 or less. EDIT: The mat is not large enough to go wall to wall in the Prius' cargo area. But to me, it'll be close enough.
Here's something that not only covers the deck, but appears to have side walls 18 or more inches tall: Full Cargo Liner It isn't custom made, but perhaps by contacting the vendor you can determine which of the five sizes would do best for you.
That's pretty cool. Something to consider for the $100 or more category of liners (e.g., the WeatherTech liner & the full carpeted liner sold by Sigma Automotive).
I bought a WeatherTech #40268 Cargo Liner which fits my 2008 perfectly at Amazon.com for $57.17, no tax, free shipping, delivered in 3 days.
No, the cargo liner I purchased fits perfectly in the area behind the rear seats, but provides no coverage for the back of the seats when they are down.
I found a plastic Prius cargo liner by a third party on ebay for about $39.99 - just search Prius Cargo liner/ or Matt -
No. The weathertech cargo liner covers the cargo area behind the back seats, i.e., with the back seats up. See picture: http://www.amazon.com/dp/product/B000KVDVSC?tag=priuschatcom-20 see the price on Amazon.com has gone up to $69.99. Still, that's the lowest price around.
And here's a link to the WeatherTech webpage showing the cargo liner in the Prius. Note that the WeatherTech product number 40268 is the same number on that Amazon.com link: WeatherTech Automotive Accessories - Cargo Liners - 2007 Toyota Prius - WeatherTech Cargo and Trunk Liners Cargo Mat
