what a drag.. no new prius... same crap from every OEM. isn't there ANY new option out there for 2009? We need to replace our other car.. very happy with the prius and that's staying, but this is driving me nuts.. there are no options available. Crappy mileage from all the other "hybrids" .. not a plug in in site... OEMs talking about rollout dates 5 years from now as gas is about $4 a gallon. angry.
You crack me up Fish...you crapped on the Prius for over 2 years at PriusOnline, you bitched about it when you got one, now you are "very happy with the Prius" and want another one.... Welcome to the Kool-aid drinkers!
Buy/Lease a second Prius. Sell one of the Prius' when a plug in variety or another intriguing innovation comes out. Prius' are holding their value quite well as a used car. The loss of selling the car may not be as great as a conventional car and NOTHING compared to what the SUV drivers are suffering with when they try to sell/trade in their cars.
I never complained about the prius when I got one... you've got a bad memory. so what's new for 2009? anything? money burning a hole in my pocket and nothing to spend it on.
Sure! Gas ~ by next year this time, it'll cost $80 ... even to fill your Prius! Save your pennies - you may need 'em.
Take a look in the folder labeled 2010 prius at the top of this forum. One person posted the schedule for Model year 2009 and Model year 2010 and colors. The Model year 2010 will be released in 2009 and likely will have some new bells and whistles that you would like.
Well, that is one of the "hot" rumors for the 2010 model year, that it will come with Lithium Ion batteries and be a plug in. Now, to balance that, it appears that initially the Model year 2010 will come with nickel metal halide and then switch to lithium (maybe an option?) later on. Not sure if/when it will be a plug in. So, there you are going to have to wait a bit.....money burning a hole in your pocket and all. Probably, in 3 years, the whole game will have changed.....Prius family of cars/minivans, viability of lithium ion batteries and plug ins will be known, other manufacturers will have their cars out. The Volt will have its launch date amended to 2015.....
