traded my Z71 truck for one. Did it 10 days ago adn was told 3- 12 weeks. I sadly will presume it will be more like 12 weeks. will miss the truck and its 12 MPG but will not miss the gas station.
:welcome: Welcome to PriusChat, wjtwet, it's worth the wait. And not stopping at the gas station so often.
Hi wjtwet...I'm a noob too. I live in Denton and have mine on order in Kansas City...I've got about three weeks left before I take delivery. I've been calling around the area and Toyota of Plano said they are getting an allotment of 20 for the Memorial Day sale. Dewd is supposed to call me today or tomorrow and let me know what the deal is. I imagine its gonna be a long wait there as well....
hey there fellow texan. my wife and i received our prius about two weeks ago, with about a 6 week wait. it might be worth the trouble to call champion toyota in austin. excellent sales person and we got exactly what we wanted.....................a base model with no floor mats. the wait also included some sort of problem with the boat that held a couple hundred other cars on it.
we ordered ours back in jan/feb of 06 and didn't receive it until 5/31.. then they were all on the waiting list. So glad we've had it for two years now.. gas will never get any cheaper I'm sure. We're getting 50.6 right now and I keep edging it up a bit each week!
:bounce:Welcome to the "party"-Hey wjtwet, make a mental note to check the pressures in the tires. I got our car 3/27 and messed around and didn't check till this past weekend and all 4 were at 32 psi.The factory reccomends 35. I was averaging 48 + or - and per other users rec pumped them to 40/38-And it made a difference. Went to Denton to Camping World and at times going West on 380 saw on average 55 mpg with a stiff wind. So pump them sucker's UP.:bounce:
@ shatrunner - ya know..in all my research, ive found that the 'gulf states' region kinda charges a little more than dealers out of the region...i might give austin a ring though...much closer than KC! +1 to ShinerBTX....tire pressure makes a huge diff. i actually had a Pri back in '05, but got rid of her because we bought a new house.
Howdy my fellow Texans! It's good to see people on this board from here. I've been lurking for several weeks & haven't seen very many. I ordered my Prius on May 1 & I have no idea when it will be here. Hopefully soon is what they keep saying. It's very hard to be patient when all you want to do is drive such a cool car. I saw someone driving a silver pine mica today & I swear I wanted to ask them to pull over & let me drive it.
I was talking to another PC member and he said the the pine mica was not a color that will be available next year....anyone know what colors will be available?
